Okay, so maybe not that drastic of a greeting, but it surely would give me a friendly vibe if I were to see another girl in this same dress. I would think similarily to that quote. Of course I bagged this piece at yet another flea market vendor in the basement of St.James Middle School during a bazaar festival in downtown Danielson, Connecticut for fifty cents for a full bag larger than me (5'1", 97lbs) to drag back to my friend Desiree's house one night back in the summertime.
I haven't gotten the chance to wear this to school yet, but I definitely plan on it during the next cycle that I am not in shop for Cosmetology.
Today, I got to stay home from school because I had woken up to come to find that the water heater for my shower was broken, and now here I am, sitting on my bed, my hair is a mess, my eyes are tired, barely any clothes on but a long sleeve plain white t-shirt, lisening to sweet Jason Castro's covers of many artists, and left with nothing to do but communicate to others who have stayed home today on MySpace, and blog about this dress.
Counterproductive, I'd say.
Anyway, the neckline of this dress is an odd feature, but strangely it fits my needs for one-of-a-kind vintage. Oh you bet! The sleeves are another strange thing only because vintage style has always been known for taking no heed for the sizes. The love and care for this dress is wonderful, seriously. No stains, rips, missing buttons, etc. Just one well-made, intact dress.
The length of when I had first tried on this dress was a scary site, trust me. It came down to nearly my ankles because of my height, and so with the fear of making one wrong cut to this, I just took miniature safety pins to tuck the rest of the fabric for a small lift at the bottom, and now it is thankfully to just above my knees.
I still wanted a classic vibe to be thrown out there from this piece, and I kept it with only a minor adjustment being made, fair enough. I hope you like!
P.S By the way, I apologize for the lame cell phone quality photograph of this dress, how disappointing, but thanks to Desiree for knocking my Kodak on the hardwood floors from my bed when she was sleeping there.

Thats such a pretty dress!x
